Application for nursing homes and hospitals

Nursing homes and other health care facilities must submit a testing concept to the health department.

The health department then determines how many antigen tests a facility can procure, or how many will be funded by the nursing or health insurance. The quantity depends on the number of people being treated, cared for, nursed or accommodated in the facility.

In residential care facilities, for example, up to 30 tests per month and resident can be procured.

The facilities take care of the procurement of the tests themselves and also settle these independently with the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.
